The short, wide bobbins account for higher output and more powerful mid-range than Strat® or Tele® single-coils. To be vintage correct, the SP90-1 is wound with plain enamel wire on the same Leesona winder that wound the 1950s versions. The tone is sweet and smooth. Comes with 2-conductor hookup cable.

Often, the SP90-1 Vintage is used in the neck with an SP90-2 Hot or SP90-3 Custom in the bridge for tonal versatility.

The SP90-1 Vintage is available for both neck and bridge positions, with cream or black cover.
