These strings were born after years of research, and thanks to the know-how acquired by more than 50 years in the field.The materials used in the manufacturing process derives directly from our Bowed Instrument Strings Division.The principle remains in fact the same: strings must respect the instrument, without excessive stress.The core is quite similar to that used to make violin strings .The winding consists in a carbon alloy developed by Dogal, which thanks to a specific gravity higher than that of nickel alloy (of which most windings are made) allows the pitch to be attained with less tension.This combination of materials is possible because still today these strings are made by hand, and each one checked in five separate zones for tollerances non superior to two hundredths of a millimeter.The set of strings Dogal has prepared attains each note with less than 5 kg of tension, yet doesn't hinder the musician's virtuosity in the slightest .Even with a higher degree of action the player doesn't lose speed and the strings in much freer to vibrate.For those who prefer a "warmer" tone.
